A moisture-resistant modification of the floor hatch type Light for tiles. Also well suited for porcelain stoneware, marble, decking, laminate or linoleum.

This floor hatch has a hatch cover made of a profile pipe, on top of which a sheet of galvanized metal and a magnesite plate 10 mm thick are fixed. After installing the floor hatch, a floor covering with a total thickness of up to 20 mm is glued to the magnesite.

Before gluing the tiles, the surface of the magnesite sheet should be treated with a primer.

The use of a magnesite sheet is ideal for gluing tiles, and the galvanized metal sheet strengthens the sash and protects the magnesite from below from the effects of moisture from the basement. We can insulate the hatch cover from the inside.

The Light floor hatch is designed for installing large floor hatches under tiles. Additionally, an electric motor can be installed to lift the hatch cover.

With a properly installed hatch depth and a floor covering thickness of 20 mm + glue, the width of the gap between the floor tile and the hatch cover tile along the hinge side will be 5-6 mm. You can make the gap thinner, but it is not recommended, since a fragment of stone can get into a thin gap and chip the tile in this place.

A double contour of the rubber seal must be glued around the perimeter of the hatch cover. A lock with a spring-loaded latch fixes the hatch cover in the closed position and guarantees complete tightness of the structure.

We recommend ordering an insulated version of the hatch. This is a significant warmth and soundproofing of your premises from the influx of noise and temperature changes from the basement, and also allows condensation to disappear on the lower surface of the hatch cover!
